Mac IT Support for Businesses
Plain English Technology manages Macs, iPhones and iPads for small businesses in Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish counties. Some of our clients run entirely on Apple. Most have a mix, with designers and owners on Macs and the front desk on Windows. Either way, you get one team and one flat monthly price.
Macs Still Need Managing
A lot of IT companies treat Macs as an afterthought. They know Windows, and the Macs get whatever’s left over. That’s how offices end up with laptops nobody has updated in a year, no backups, and an ex-employee’s Apple ID still tied to a company computer.
Macs are reliable, but they still need the same care as any other computer: updates, backups, security settings, and someone to call when something goes wrong. We use tools built for Apple devices, so your Macs get looked after properly.

The tools we use
Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Manager) is Apple’s free system for owning company devices. Every Mac, iPhone and iPad you buy through Apple or an authorized reseller can be assigned to your company there. That’s what makes the automatic setup work, and it keeps devices tied to the business, not to whoever used them last. We set up your Apple Business account and keep it organized.
Device management (MDM)
Device management (MDM) is the software that looks after your Macs, iPhones and iPads day to day. Tools like Addigy, Jamf and Iru (formerly Kandji) handle updates, security settings, software installs and remote support from one place. We can see the health of every device you own and fix problems before your team notices them. If you already use one of these tools, we can work with it or help you move.
Mixed Mac and Windows Offices
Most of the offices we support aren’t all one or the other. We manage both under the same plan, so file sharing, printing, email and passwords work the same way for everyone. You don’t need one company for the Macs and another for the PCs.
Is Apple’s free device management enough?

How pricing works
Mac support is part of our Managed IT Services plans. You pay a flat monthly rate based on the size of your team, with no hourly bills for help desk calls. Apple devices and Windows computers are covered the same way.

Nobody’s time gets wasted.
Do you support businesses that use only Macs?
Yes. We support all-Mac offices and mixed offices.
Do we need Apple Business?
If your company owns its Macs, iPhones or iPads, yes. It’s free, and it’s what keeps company devices under company control. We can set it up and connect the devices you already own.
Can you add Macs we already own?
Yes. Macs bought through Apple or an authorized reseller can usually be added to Apple Business directly. We can enroll the others by hand.
Can our Macs use Microsoft 365?
Yes. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and OneDrive all run on Mac, and we set them up to match the rest of your office.
Do you repair Mac hardware?
We arrange it. For broken screens and failed hardware, we coordinate the repair with Apple or a local repair shop, then set the Mac back up when it returns so your employee can get straight back to work.
What does Mac IT support cost?
It depends on how many people and devices you have. Call us at (360) 545-4033 or book a call, and we’ll give you a straight number.
